Your support helps neighbors like David
“When you’re serious and ready for change, The Salvation Army is there to help you." – David
Growing up, David didn’t have a lot of lucky breaks. His mother was an alcoholic and his father was mostly absent. Then, when he was 13, he ran away to live with his father who was part of a dangerous gang known as the “Hell’s Angels.” But he overcame these challenges when he joined the military and became a combat medic.
Unfortunately, his demons caught up with him and David turned to drugs and alcohol. Along that rocky path, he lost his job, his home, his wife and child, and a lot of self-respect. That’s when he learned about The Salvation Army Hope Center.
