Homelessness to hope, thanks to you!
“That’s my family now.” – Grant
Grant used to be on top of the world. He was a successful news producer for the ABC network in San Francisco. But Grant was exhausted from long hours and could barely stay awake. His solution was taking meth and that quickly led him down a very destructive path.
Then, he lost his job, and things only got worse. He was homeless and told us, “I was just sitting in my car, living in a park where I was surrounded by people using drugs. Not a good environment for someone like me.”
A chance to work and to change!
Then, Grant heard The Salvation Army was hiring for the Homeless to Work Program. He took a chance and found a place where he could rebuild his life through job training, counseling, and many other life-transforming services.
“The Salvation Army and the Homeless to Work Program have been great to me. That’s my family now,” says Grant.
Thanks to support like yours, neighbors like Grant have the opportunity to restore their lives and become successful. That’s the power of your gift in action.
