Finding hope and a home — because of you
“I’m very thankful.” – Primitiva
Primitiva left her abuser in 2018. She fled with her three children. After staying in a shelter, she moved in with her sister, only to discover more abuse. For a long time, it was difficult for her to accept any help from anyone because it was hard to believe that anyone genuinely cared and wanted to help. Despite having endured trauma and abuse, Primitiva decided to keep pushing through and found care and help through The Salvation Army.
Moving forward with family
After letting her guard down, Primitiva let her friends at The Salvation Army connect her with the resources she and her children needed to start a new life. They even helped her son with autism attend summer camp. After a long journey, she and her family have finally found housing thanks to The Salvation Army, and she is immensely grateful for the difference neighbors like you have made for her and her family.
