Ask Rebecca about her life-changing transformation and she is eager to tell you, “I owe it all to God.”
It wasn’t that long ago that Rebecca was alone and scared with nowhere to live and nowhere to turn. That’s when she found refuge at The Salvation Army’s Orange County Anaheim Emergency Shelter. And that day changed her life.
At the shelter, Rebecca worked hard on herself. She enthusiastically attended Bible study and participated in the many programs and workshops offered to help neighbors like her overcome homelessness. With resources like job training and mental health care, she was able to rebuild her life.
From the streets to success!
After six months of hard work, Rebecca secured a cozy studio apartment. It was a dream come true—the home she’d been longing for since she arrived at the shelter.
Today, she’s able to invite her children to her home and enjoy family dinners and quality time. She acknowledges that her stay at the shelter gave her the tools she needed to succeed and give herself a second chance at life. She is truly grateful.
