A chance at redemption thanks to neighbors like you
“This saved my life.” – Cody
Cody’s childhood was not a happy one. Growing up with an alcoholic father and a mother who spent long hours working to help keep their family afloat, he was alone and neglected. As he got older, he turned to drugs and alcohol. Cody’s abuse spiraled even deeper after he witnessed his best friend’s murder in high school. He lost hope.
But after spending time in jail, he knew he wanted to turn his life around. That’s when he heard about The Salvation Army’s Canoga Park Adult Rehabilitation Center. It was the glimmer of hope he desperately needed.
A second chance!
Cody was quickly accepted into the program. Not only did it change his life, but it also sparked his soul. Formerly an atheist, he discovered a faith that could carry him through his most challenging moments. Through Christ, he experienced the power of redemption and unconditional love.
Today, Cody is thriving and has a peace he never knew existed. He’s in recovery and feels thankful that he found hope thanks to supporters like you who help make vital resources possible. He is glad to tell his story to anyone who is hurting and needs help.
That’s the power of your gift in action! You help give neighbors like Cody a second chance at life thanks to your compassion.
